About
I know well the transformational qualities of Pilates. My journey began after years of suffering with lower back pain and poor posture, whilst working in London in a corporate Marketing role. I spent many years seeing the likes of massage therapists and chiropractors, who only offered temporary relief. A few years later, I suffered an injury to my SI joint, and was told the only solution was to manage the pain using painkillers. This wasn't for me, and so I sought further help.
I found Pilates, and attending classes regularly changed my body. My posture was hugely improved and soon enough, the back pain was improving. I was seeing a change in my body shape too, I was standing taller, feeling stronger, and much more flexible.
I qualified with Body Control Pilates as a teacher, initially as part of my personal development - but soon realised I could really help other people too. Practicing Pilates is not just for the physical benefits - but also for psychological ones. The level of focus and breathing patterns required, promote a level of mindfulness - resulting in a sense of relaxation and calmness.

The benefits of Pilates are multifaceted, they bring together the mind and body, giving a sense of overall well-being, something I would like to share with as many people as I can.
